- A critical study of the documents: “The Evolution of the Forms of War” with Print by Johan Lorenz Rugendas (1775-1826): “The Great Battle of Austerlitz, Beginning of the Nineteenth Century” (Document 1) and an extract from an interview with the American special commander. What are the topics of the Geographical History major in 2022?
The topics for the 2022 History, Geography, Politics, and Political Science (HGGSP) exam are detailed on this page. You can take notes below for the thesis topics and especially visualize the documents needed for critical study.
The History and Geography specialization exam is held over a period of 4 hours and is divided into two parts. The first is a thesis and the second is a document study, it can be an image, text or a map. The two exercises are mandatory for all candidates, but the Ministry has introduced an amendment: doubling the subject of the thesis. For the first part of the exam, this year the candidate has to choose between two different topics of the thesis, each related to the subject of the programme.
On the other hand, the study of the document covers another topic studied during the year so that three out of four possible topics are approached. While this may seem like a bigger dose of work during reviews, these instructions are above all intended to provide candidates with the best chance of success.
What are the dates for the baccalaureate exam in history and geography 2022?
The history and geography exam was scheduled to take place normally, like all other specialized education exams, in March, but the Ministry of National Education decided to postpone the series of exams to May to prevent some candidates from being penalized due to the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic on the school system.
So the tests took place between May 11 and May 13, and the history-geo tests were scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
When will the results of the history and geography test be published?
The results of the history and geography specialization exam will be available on July 5, at the same time as the results of the other exams (French, Philosophical and Oral major). The fact that specialized lessons are evaluated one month in advance does not affect the publication of the results.
