The Grizzlies have never had so much fun before

“cheerful”. While they were just eliminated from the playoffs in the conference semi-finals, the Grizzlies have nothing but that word in their mouth. Throughout the year, this team has been tempting and shining with its enthusiasm, and to the end it has remained true to its ideas and position.

“Honestly, we have a unique collection. We’ve been saying it all year, and it’s just been fun. It’s been a fun season.” Comments by Tayos Jones. “It’s something to take advantage of because it’s not usually. It’s by far the team where the players are the closest among those I’ve played with. This is the team that I’ve seen the most fun playing with, and the most fun with since I’ve been in the MLS For professionals. They are an individual group, which is something that should not be taken for granted. It is one of a kind.”

“I’ve never been part of a group like this”

A group with a real identity. Since taking charge of the team, Taylor Jenkins has given him that college position with a tight-knit and generous group, strong in aggressive and impressive basketball.

“I just told them how proud I am of them. I have never been part of a group like this” Memphis coach thought. “They are the players, the coach, the coaching staff… I want them to taste it all and remember that despite this defeat and the end of our season, it will motivate us to move forward. Individual progress and collective progress during this season can only make us better. It is a step in the direction of that future. The shining we talk about constantly.(…) I’ve never been part of a group, or a group of players and staff with this level of attention. It’s my third season here and this squad deserves it all. We weren’t good enough in the end. It’s basketball, But I am very proud of everyone’s commitment and care to make this season unique.”

“It’s just authentic, it’s natural. It’s like we’re playing with friends and being good together”

Ja Morant in civilian clothes, it was Garen Jackson Jr. who carried the team on his shoulders. He’s been more outspoken than usual, and after an almost empty season, he’s simply happy to be able to give everything he has in a group he loves.

“Obviously the team I enjoyed the most” Reply to a journalist. “Why? Because we kept a lot of players from last season, and there’s a lot of continuity. Everyone knows. And the new one fits in perfectly with what we’ve been doing. The coach has experience now, he’s made his mark, he knows how to coach now. For me, he’s coach of the year. Just look how our season went…At first it was balanced, then we did a little series, we found our rhythm and really had fun! It’s hard to explain, we had a lot of fun together. We didn’t really care about anything else, we only cared what we had, we We had fun together. It was crazy. And it’s just authentic, it’s natural. It’s like we’re playing with friends and being good together.”
