Why wait so long for this DLC?
It was announced shortly after the release of Cuphead, The delicious last cycle will take nearly five years to finally see the light of day. If notably put off by the Covid19 pandemic, Maja Moldenhauer, Executive Producer of Studio MDHR, has made it a point not to get caught up in crush Which nonetheless hits a lot of studios. As downloadable content grew, the work required became more comprehensive and instead of forcing its teams to deal with nails, it chose another way of doing things: Work at your own pace and without pressure to let the creative spirit of developers and other artists speak freely. It is this state of mind and desire to do things well that has caused this long wait, and therefore in the end it is the best.
If the game release takes longer, it will take longer. who cares ? …it’s art for art’s sake

What is the future of the Cuphead license?
With this downloadable content, a page for MDHR Studio will open. The title should not already see the arrival of new content or a sequel. TheThe reason for the existence of this downloadable content was the various actions that could not be performed in the base game. Today, nothing remains on the desks of the MDHR studio, not even a small drawing missing in the corner. However, the studio was set up to create Cuphead and has only had a title since 2010, so the question of what’s next arises. With IGN Maja Moldenhauer confirmed that this was likely the end of Cuphead, but that doesn’t mean the end of the studio. Its members will continue to work on 2D projects with old animation because they know how to do it well. So we look forward to seeing what he has in store for us in the coming years.
As for Cuphead’s being, he’s not dead yet. In fact, the second season of The Cuphead Show will arrive this summer on Netflix. If all goes as planned, Cuphead, Mugman and Mrs. Caline should continue to get our attention for a while. As a reminder, the creators of the series are considering a project of forty episodes in total, divided into four seasons.
