game news This week’s 6 indie games (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) are not to be missed

I’m starting to get used to it: every week, dozens of video games (both independent and not) are released on different platforms, whether on PC, Switch, Xbox or PlayStation. Our mission at JV – is to make sure you find yourself there! So, as at the start of each week, here’s my selection of titles, July 25-31, 2022. There are quite a few options.

Bear and breakfast

Why not start with a totally relaxing game? In Bear and Breakfast, you are a bear who goes all out to take care of a “bed and breakfast” (accommodation with the family including one night and one breakfast). You will have to put your hands on the claw so as not to frighten your visitors! In this title developed by Gummy Cat, then the first step will be Carefully restore an abandoned cabin. Everything has to go there: the bathroom, the living room and the bedrooms, of course. According to the Steam page, these can extend to “dozens”. For all this, you will have to choose furniture and decor, with a facade that looks really complete. but that is not all. Bear and Breakfast describes itself as a management and “adventure” game with a secret hiding deep in the woods. it’s interesting.

Captain Velvet Meteor

Beyond the jungle, our pick takes you straight to another dimension with Captain Velvet Meteor, which will be released soon on Nintendo Switch! It’s an adventure game | A strategy where Damian’s boy is turned upside down by his move to Japan, He created a superhero in his mindCaptain Velvet Meteor. And as if that wasn’t enough, he engineered an entire universe where his fears surfaced. The title from Momo-pi studio presents an adventure in two stages: the very real, where you will have the opportunity to chat with your family; and fantasy, which will summon all of your strategy to defeat a group of enemies. On the Nintendo website, there is a mention of the “sneak, puzzle” stages to eliminate evil. In general, we imagine a full experience with battles, and a lot of narration.

exotic gardening

This time we enter the odd brackets for this selection, with exotic gardening, a puzzle game known as “mystery”. Concretely, it is A puzzle game that finds its place in a vegetable store. “Find and select new plants, raise your cat, talk to a sorority, or join a cult,” reads the title’s Steam page. Strange Horticulture is divided into several stages: Managing your customers. Explore the areas around your store; Identify plants to understand their strength. A quest for knowledge that will not be easy – as much as your walk in the woods can be beneficial to you as well as … deadly (“You can discover forces beyond your wildest dreams or lose your mind”). An experience that feels separate and more than solid!

Madison

We continue the horror game we already talked about on the JV that returns to the Nintendo hybrid console. Obviously we’re talking about Madison! Its beginning is simple: you are in a possessed house and you have to escape from a demonic beast. Our test (14/20) talks about a meeting Between Kojima’s shocking PT demo and Project Zero . series. Yes, only that! For more details, you play as Luca, who is controlled by an entity named Madison, forced to perform a horrific ritual. Your path here will be obstructed by the creature itself, of course, but also by portals to another dimension, which can be opened with your camera. Between the puzzles and the horrifying appearance, the game from the Bloodious studio may not be very original but in the end it has “strong qualities”.

As usual: you will have to farm managementWith all that includes plants and animals but also everything related to the preparation of the earth itself. “Welcome to Olivell, a peaceful community founded by your grandfather and his friends. RimWorld Console Edition

To finish this choice off well, why not head into space? Yep, you’re not dreaming, the awesome RimWorld is about to hit PlayStation 4 | X-Box. If you’ve never heard of it, know that it’s a simulation of a colony that follows three survivors, after a spaceship crash. On Steam, we can read that the title is More “stories generator” than a strategy game competitor. Drama, tragedy, comedy within the colony is important. It’s simple, having created your world according to several criteria, almost anything is possible. The colonists’ mood would be affected by the surrounding dangers, but also by super subtle things like the size of the room they lived in (yes) or the organ that was affected. Between bad weather, attacks and surprises, you need to be vigilant.
