Rudely at 3 points, Germany takes Greece out of the eurozone!

The host country for this final stage ofEuroBasketI’Germany I had to rub shoulders Greece From Giannis Antikonmo Hoping to reach the round of four in the “His” competition for the fourth time in its history, and for the first time since 2005.

In front of this huge Greek team that was dreaming of reaching the semi-finals of the European Championship for the tenth time in its history, and for the first time since 2009, Manshaft I managed to stop the path of his teammates Giannis Antikonmo (31 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals).

Thanks to the great performance of Dennis Schroeder (26 points and 8 assists), he is unmistakable in his role as a national captain, and thanks to an excellent second half, he dominated head and shoulders.

Shaken, Greece turns its back thanks to Giannis

In front of the thick crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, the quarter-finals are leaving anyway very, very strong. This is especially evident by the brazen 3-point success by all Germans: 4/4 to start, and finally 8/10 over the course of the entire first quarter!

Despite the aggressiveness of the opponent’s defense, especially the two-man (or even three-man) traps, Giannis Antikonmo did not disintegrate in this hostile atmosphere. Suddenly in power and one, “Greek Freak” proves admirable at keeping the Greeks in touch. He does not forget about altruism, nor does he forget to serve his undistinguished colleagues, behind the bow or in the paint.

However, after ten rhythmic minutes, Germany was ahead (31-27). Physical confrontation is increasingly balanced, but Manshaft He’s still in the lead, thanks to his demonic effective squad in the attack.

Without panicking, Greece maintained a respectable gap with their opponent, snatching several key offensive rebounds to do so. Precious with their skill at 3-pointers, Giannos Larentzakis and Andreas Obst responded to each other in a duel of triggers, but as the clock ticked away, Dimitris Etodis’ players gained the upper hand over Gordon Herbert.

Next, it takes several accelerator shots from Dennis Schroeder to revive the Germans at the end of the first half, while Giannis Antikonmo and Tyler Dorsey carry the Greeks to the opposite camp. Finally, on a (very) distant basket at the bell from Costas Selukas, the visitors took their possessions in the first half (61-57).

Greek ship capsizes in rain 3 piasters…

At the start of the match, Germany came back from the locker room offensively unplayable, achieving a lot of speed, especially defensively, where they clearly advanced. Such an effective recipe necessarily leads to the result, because Greece gains something … 20-1 in seven minutes!

Unresolved and unable to respond, because Giannis Antetokounmpo and his family are mentally affected, they find themselves dropped off the scoreboard, while Franz Wagner and his teammates are in agile state, particularly at 3 points. Despite the wall of defenders standing in front of him (he suffered five men injured!), “Greek Mania” tried to awaken his troops, on his own record.

But nothing helped: the gap had already widened at the end of the third quarter (83-71).

Giannis and Schroeder expelled!

Without Giannis Antitokonmo, who is briefly left to rest, Greece is trying to withstand the shock, even to pick it up. Without success, which quickly forced Demetrius Etodis to bring him back Superstar in play. Justled, the “Greek Freak” struggles, but his pit mates, while Manshaft He relies on a group party and continues to shoot in all directions.

Finally, after long minutes as both teams succumbed to a blow, it was just like that Germans who were victorious in front of a delirious crowd (107-96). Above all, for simply drinking the cup to the dregs, Giannis Antetokounmpo was sent off five minutes later, for a second unsportsmanlike foul. Note that Dennis Schroeder will join him a few moments later, due to a second technical error.

Too skilled (17/21 on 3 points, 18/21 on throws), too collectively armed (five players on 10 points or more) and too strong for the Greeks, Germany joins Spain in the semi-finals of his “country” EuroBasket.
